New Delhi: Three Thieves Arrested & Three Juvenile Apprehended.
01 Mobile Phone & 01 Key Of Car Were Recovered.
• Used to lure cab/taxi drivers with the help of a Eunuch & steal/rob from them.
With the arrest of three accused persons namely 1. Deepak @ Shivani S/o Leela R/o MCD flats 1stPusta, new Usmanpur & footpath Shish Ganj Gurudwara Chandni Chowk, Delhi, Age-23Yrs, 2. Akbar S/O Suleman R/o Footpath Shish Ganj Gurudwara Chandni Chowk Delhi, Age – 22 Yrs, 3. Deepak Chauhan S/o Karambir Singh R/o Village Bajpur, Distt. Udhampur Uttarakhand, Age-19 yrs and three juveniles, the staff of P.S. Darya Ganj, Central District recovered 1 mobile phone and 01 car key stolen on the night of 08/01/2022.
On the intervening night of 08-09/01/2022, complainant Sanjay Kumar S/o Shambhu Manjhi R/o H.No.39-C, Gali No.14, Jai Vihar Phase-3 Dwarka Delhi, came to the police station Daryaganj and stated that some unknown persons stole his mobile phone and car keys. He stated that he is a Cab driver and he was going towards IGI Airport via ISBT Kashmiri Gate and when he reached Outer ring road near Darya Ganj, one Eunuch stopped his cab for the purpose of booking. The complainant stopped the cab and asked for his destination. The Eunuch then leaned over his cab and stole his mobile phone from the dashboard. As he tried to run behind the thief, three other persons surrounded his cab for distracting him and stealing other articles from the cab. He tried to resist them but, one of them took his car key and they all fled away. The complainant chased them and he caught one of the accused persons and recovered his car key while other three accused persons fled away from the spot. Accordingly, a case FIR No. 10/22 U/s 379/411/34 IPC PS Darya Ganj was registered and investigation was taken up.
TEAM AND INVESTIGATION:-
Keeping in view the gravity of offence, a team led by IO SI Sonal Raj, comprising of HC Chhaganlal No.1307/C, Ct.Feru No.1169 and Ct. Ashok No.1198/C under the close supervision of SHO/Inspr. Harjinder Kaur was constituted.
During investigation, on 09-01-2022, on the instance of accused Deepak Chauhan and complainant, another accused persons namely 1. Deepak @ Shivani, 2. Akbar and 1 CCL were apprehended from Footpath Shishganj Gurudwara Chandni Chowk Delhi. Further, during sustained interrogation, accused Deepak @ Shivani disclosed that he had given mobile phone to another CCL for selling. Thereafter, 2nd CCL was apprehended near JamaMasjid who disclosed that he had further given the mobile for selling to another CCL friend of his and on his information, 3rd CCL was also apprehended and mobile phone of complainant was recovered from his possession.
Modus Operandi-
The accused persons disclosed that during midnight, they visit ring road and the eunuch lures cab/taxi drivers and thereafter, they steal the articles of cab/taxi drivers. Further, they sell mobile phones to pedestrians who come to visit Jama Masjid or Red Fort. They all are vagabonds.
