Germany will first give corona vaccine to weak people

BERLIN | Germany’s Health Minister Jens Spahn has announced a detailed plan for the country’s coronavirus vaccination campaign. He said that the first goal of corona vaccination is to protect the most vulnerable. In a press conference held on Friday, Xinhua quoted Span as saying, “All citizens over 80 years of age and staff in nursing homes will be the first to be vaccinated.”

After the introduction of the vaccination program in Germany, it will take at least a month or two for the neediest people to be vaccinated, so SPAN appeals to people to be patient.

The Health Minister said, “This winter is heavy for us. We have to live with this virus for a long time.”

The coronavirus vaccine produced by German pharmaceutical company Bio En Tech and US company P Pfizer is expected to be approved by the European Medicines Agency next week.

As of Saturday, the number of coronavirus cases in Germany has risen to 1,469,991, while the death toll from the virus has risen to 25,413.
