Had to face embarrassment after the tremendous success of ‘Murder’: Mallika Sherawat

Mumbai, Oct 13 Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat, who was seen in the recently released film ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’, has told how she had to face embarrassment in Bollywood after the huge success of her film ‘Murder’.

Actress Mallika Sherawat, who appeared in Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast, told how Bollywood’s superhit film ‘Murder’ opened new dimensions of her success. At the same time, she got only hatred from the industry.

She said, “At that time I was abused a lot. I think they wanted me to feel ashamed of myself despite the success of Murder. ”

She said that ‘Murder’ was not just a bold film but it was a deeply special film.

She further shared, “Such a big superhit film cannot be a superhit only on the basis of bold scenes. The story was very special. The depth of the story was loved by women. The story of a married woman’s loneliness was loved by the audience, which gave it the status of a classic, cult film.”

When asked what the film’s producer, Mahesh Bhatt told her at that time, the actress said, “I used to go to him crying, Bhatt told me that there is no need to worry about it, enjoy it. Along with this, he said that the day he stops talking about you, you will cry.”

She further said, “Bhatt told me that you should be happy that they are talking about you. They talk about so many women. So in this way, I felt that he was trying to make me strong and anyone who has played a long innings in Bollywood is aware of this thing.”

She said, “There are a lot of ups and downs in Bollywood. It is very difficult to live with them, endure them and face the next day with a smile.”
