Mumbai| Singer Lata Mangeshkar died at a private hospital here on Sunday morning. He has also been awarded the Bharat Ratna Award. A spokesman for Breach Candy Hospital said he breathed his last at 8:12 am after 28 days in the hospital. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s wife Rashmi Thackeray, Nationalist Congress Party President Sharad Pawar, Raut and other parties visited the hospital a while back to meet the Mangeshkar family and console them.
Gadkari also confirmed that he had ‘darshan’ of Lata-didi and remembered her great singing skills, her contribution to the world of music and nation. Several top leaders condoled his death.
