New Delhi: In a step further in the direction of making primary education accessible to all children in NDMC and Navyug Schools, Hon’ble Lt. Governor, Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena today initiated a programme for distribution of stationery items to all the students of class Nursery to V of NDMC Schools at Atal Adarsh Vidyalaya, Havlock Square, New Delhi. The Chairman – NDMC Shri Bhupinder Singh Bhalla, Vice Chairman Shri Satish Upadhyay, Secretary – Shri Vikram Singh Malik and Director (Education) – Shri RP Sati accompanied him.
On this occasion, Shri Saxena distributed the stationery kits to 125 students. The kits contain English & Hindi Notebooks, Colouring Notebooks, pencils, crayon colours, erasers and sharpeners. While distributing the stationery kits to the students, he also interacted with the students.
The LG hoped that the endeavor of NDMC will further encourage the parents of even lowest economic strata of the society to send their children to NDMC Schools for quality education without any financial implications on the family.
All remaining students will receive the stationery kits in their respective school in coming week. Out of total 12665 students who will benefit from this scheme, 9399 students are from NDMC Schools and remaining 3266 students are from Navyug Schools.
