Mamta cried foul in Nandigram, Governor replied

Kolkata| West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee on Thursday spoke to Governor Jagdeep Dhankar on the phone and alleged that there was an open violation of law and order. Mamta called the Governor from Nandigram, from where she is in the election ground against Suvendra Adhikari. The Governor has assured them that the issues raised by them will be taken care of by the people concerned. The governor tweeted and said, “Mamata Banerjee has called some time ago and expressed concern over some matters. I assure her of the observance of the law. I am confident that all people will work with the right spirit and honesty so that democracy will always Remain up. “

Earlier, Banerjee had called Dhankar from Nandigram and said that anything could happen at any time. Also said that the law and order in the seat from which they are contesting has completely collapsed. He also alleged, “People from other states are committing uproar in Nandigram and I have filed 63 complaints since morning, but the Election Commission has not taken any action on them.” He also said that the people shouting slogans are outsiders and they have come from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.

Banerjee, who has been camping in Nandigram for the past several days, left her home at 1 pm and reached a polling station. However, voting is going on in Nandigram amid several allegations of disturbances by the Trinamool Congress.

Earlier, Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha MP and party spokesperson Derek O’Brien said, “BJP and their mind game will not work. It is very clear that they are feeling defeated. We have put up a solid show in 354 booths in Nandigram “We have lodged complaints for 10 booths. Efforts are being made by the CRPF to influence the voters or not to work. But people have decided that Mamata Banerjee will be elected as the MLA for the third time.”

Let us know that in the second phase in West Bengal voting is going on for 30 assembly constituencies including Nandigram.
