Man who stabbed girl in Delhi arrested from Ambala

New Delhi A man has been arrested from Haryana’s Ambala for allegedly stabbing a 21-year-old girl in Delhi’s Adarsh ​​Nagar area. Officials gave this information on Wednesday. Accused Sukhwinder Singh alias Sukha attacked the woman with a knife at Majlis Park in Adarsh ​​Nagar at around 12 noon on Monday.

After stabbing the girl, Sukhwinder fled from the spot.

As per the FIR of the incident, the woman told the police in her complaint that the accused forcibly took her to an isolated lane and kept asking her the reason for breaking the friendship.

In the FIR, the girl told me he was my friend but recently I had broken a friendship with him. Suddenly he took out something like a knife and started attacking me. I started screaming and fell but no one came to save me. Blood started oozing from my throat and forehead after which Sukhwinder fled from the spot.

However, on hearing the woman’s cries, people nearby reached there and took her to a nearby private clinic. He was later admitted to Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital for further treatment.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (North West) Usha Rangnani said, a case under section 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered and police have started probing the incident. During the investigation, CCTV footage of the crime scene was examined. In the footage, the accused is seen stabbing the girl. Technical surveillance revealed that the accused fled from Delhi to Ambala.

The DCP said, a police team reached Ambala and caught him on Tuesday.

IANS has also accessed CCTV footage of the incident, in which the accused can be seen stabbing the victim.

The condition of the victim is stable and further investigation is underway.
