New Delhi, October 3 . Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) says that Delhi Police detained Delhi government minister Saurabh Bhardwaj and other Aam Aadmi Party MLAs late Thursday evening. All of them were sitting on the road to get the demands of the sacked ‘bus marshals’ accepted and to talk to LG sahab for their reinstatement.
According to Aam Aadmi Party, on the orders of LG, Delhi Police first switched off all the lights of the road where these people were sitting. After this, the policemen forcibly dragged the bus marshals, MLAs and minister Saurabh Bhardwaj. Along with Saurabh Bhardwaj, MLA from Tilak Nagar Jarnail Singh and MLA from Mustafabad Haji Yunus were taken to Burari police station.
Aam Aadmi Party says that they will rest only after reinstating all these poor bus marshals. Bhardwaj said that during the Delhi Assembly session on September 26, BJP and Aam Aadmi Party MLAs together passed a resolution, in which it was decided that bus marshals will be reinstated in Delhi. It was also decided that on October 3, Aam Aadmi Party and BJP MLAs will go to the residence of Lieutenant Governor Vinay Saxena. All the ministers of the Delhi government will also go to his residence and request the LG to get any paper or file signed by us, on which the signature of a Delhi minister or Chief Minister is required. We are committed to sign any paper or file, so that Delhi’s bus marshals can be reinstated.
Saurabh Bhardwaj said that on Thursday we were sitting here since noon. Many MLAs of Aam Aadmi Party and ministers of Delhi government came here, it has become night now since noon. The police switched off all the lights here. Bus marshals were drinking water in a nearby hospital, the water supply there was stopped. The marshals had taken a pledge from every BJP MLA and MP that they would meet the LG with us. Here many bus marshals called BJP leader Vijender Gupta. He said that he is in Satbari and 10 minutes later he released a video. This means that he was not in Satbari but in his office.
Saurabh Bhardwaj said that today the whole of Delhi has come to know how the contractual employees were fired. Be it the sweepers or chowkidars inside hospitals and dispensaries, data entry operators making cards in OPD or DARC fellows working inside Delhi Vidhan Sabha, who were fired. BJP and its people together have worked to make all these poor people unemployed and this is a matter of great shame.
