More than 30 people died in 24 hours in Afghanistan

Kabul | Terrorism and conflict have increased in war-torn Afghanistan. More than 30 people have died in the last 24 hours. This is happening at a time when peace talks efforts to resolve the country’s crisis have gained momentum. In the latest violent incidents, a minibus was hit by a roadside bomb in Uruzgan province on Saturday morning killing three people and injuring four others. They are all citizens. The provincial government confirmed the incident in a statement.

Similarly, a car full of explosives was blown up in Herat city on Friday night, killing eight people, including a policeman, and injuring 54 others.

Police said three more civilians, including women and children, were killed when rebels fired mortar shells in a residential area in Nurak village outside Kalat, the provincial capital of Kabul, on Friday.

Neither the Taliban nor the Islamic State terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attack.

The fighting is on the rise amid quick peace efforts to end the war in Afghanistan and bring peace to the country.

According to local media reports, Russia is going to hold a peace conference on Afghanistan on 18 March with the participation of neighboring countries of Afghanistan as well as other countries including China, Russia, Pakistan, Iran, the USA, and India.

Turkey is arranging America’s proposed conference on the Afghanistan peace process in April to find political solutions to the crisis in the war-torn country.
