MP: Dalit beaten to death after touching food in Chhatarpur

chhatarpur / Bhopal| A Dalit was allegedly beaten to death after touching food in the Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh. Both the accused who carried out the incident have been arrested. Expressing deep grief over the death of Dalit, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has directed to give eight lakh rupees to the victim’s family. In Kishanpura of the Gaurihar police station area of ​​Chhatarpur district, Devraj Anuragi alias Kallu was taken by two of his acquaintances to work on his farm. He has been described as mentally disturbed. During the work, Kallu touched the food on the back of the field, seeing this, the two youths brutally beat Kallu, which led to his death.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh has paid deep condolences and heartfelt condolences to the family members at the village Kisnapura in the Gaurihar police station area, about 100 km from Chhatarpur district headquarters, beating the death of Dalit youth Devraj Anurag.

Chief Minister Chouhan has directed the victim’s family to be given eight lakh rupees under the Scheduled Caste-Tribe Atrocities Prevention Act. Under the scheme, four lakh rupees are given on the registration of a case and four lakh rupees due on the challan in the court. Both the youths have been arrested in this case. Chief Minister Chouhan has instructed that strict action should be taken against the guilty persons.
