NDMC beautify the walls with the paintings of Cultural Heritage and Freedom Fighter leaders under Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav

New Delhi: To celebrate the 75 years of Independence of India as Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and with the aim to beautify the walls in the New Delhi area, New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) is painting the boundary wall of several public places, monuments, school buildings, parks, etc with the theme of “Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.”

NDMC is beautifying them with the painting which not only focuses on the theme of aesthetic appeal with cultural heritage and messages of freedom struggle but also spreads the message of cleanliness. As many as 100 sites have already been painted. Work is still in progress at different sites in New Delhi areas.

Recently, a 90 meter boundary wall at Tolstoy Marg behind Jantar Mantar has been painted with painting of Cultural heritage and freedom fighters.

JJ Cluster area boundary walls in New Delhi have also been painted with the messages to spread awareness about waste segregation, education, Covid appropriate behavior, say no to single use plastic and cleanliness.

The beautification work on boundary walls is underway near stadiums, markets, metro stations like Gole Market, Khan Market, Chelmsford Road, Subramanian Bharti Marg, Sujaan Singh Marg, Jantar Mantar Road, Talkatora Road, Barakhamba Road, Connaught Place, Underpass, Flyover and some JJ Cluster area.

The Visitors of the NDMC area are appreciating the efforts of the civic body and these walls have become selfie points for the visitors.
