New Delhi: To mark the beginning of Vigilance Awareness Week, New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), Chairman – Shri Dharmendra administered the integrity pledge to the Heads of all the departments in NDMC to fight against corruption and bring transparency in their working at NDMC Convention Centre, Jai Singh Road, New Delhi this morning.
NDMC is observing the Vigilance Awareness Week from 27th October to 2nd November 2020 emphasizes the importance of integrity in government working and public life as a public servant. This year the theme of Vigilance Awareness Week is “Satark Bharat, Smriddh Bharat (Vigilant India, Prosperous India)”.
On the eve of Vigilance Awareness Week, NDMC organized a webinar on experience sharing on the best practices and innovation by Urban Bodies of Delhi. The webinar was addressed by Central Vigilance Commissioner, Shri Sanjay Kothari yesterday.
The webinar was attended by the Heads and Senior Officers of all urban civic bodies of Delhi like North MCD, East MCD, South MCD, DDA, Delhi Cantt., Additional Chief Secretary (Urban Development), Delhi Government and shared their experiences on the best practice and innovation to increase the transparency in its organization working.
Today, NDMC also organized a webinar by a prominent former senior diplomat, quizmaster, and motivational speaker, Dr.Deepak Vohara for senior officers and employees of NDMC. While Dr.Vohara delivered an excellent presentation on the theme of “Ethics in Public Life”, he said that the entire society is being affected by corruption and breach of integrity at many levels. Emphasizing that trust and integrity are inborn moral convictions of human beings and we should nurture it in our daily life if we want to live in a corruption-free society.
