NDMC- G 20 Food Festival with taste of world cuisine at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi on 11th and 12th February,

New Delhi: New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) is going to organize the G 20 International Food Festival on the theme of “Taste the World” and “International year of Millets” at Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi on 11th and 12th February, 2023.

It will be inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister of Housing & Urban Affairs, Govt. of India, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri on Saturday, 11th February, 2023 on 11.30 AM .

The four G 20 countries – China, Turkey, Japan and Mexico are participating in the G20 International Food Festival with their national cuisines.

Signatures cuisines from 14 states/UTs of India like Gujrat, Tamilnadu, Telangana, Delhi, Bihar, Punjab, Kashmir, UP, Kerala, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Manipur and Meghalaya will be available for the public.

More than 11 Hotels Taj Palace,Taj Mahal ,The Connaught,  Taj Ambasadors, Le Meridian, ITC Maurya, The Park, The Claridges, The Lalit, City Park, Food Fiesta, Munch Fit Millets Food are also coming with their signature food items.

Ministry of Agriculture will also put up 8 stalls in the Food Festival on the theme of international year of Millets. Delhi Prison Department is also participating with the Tihar Baking School.

The District Election Officer, New Delhi district on behalf of Election Commission of India will also put a stall on the awareness. Mother dairy will also be presenting its Milk products.

NDMC is providing required space / stall and other on-site logistic support to all participants. NDMC is also providing onsite electrical/water connection and dust bins as per requirement.

The G20 member countries and other participants are bring their own chefs / manpower and materials for preparation of various delicacies. The food preparation will be sold to visitors/public on payment basis.

The food festival would generate awareness on India’s presidency of G 20 Summit, International Cuisines and provide education and guidance on nutritional health and food preparation. Food preparation workshops or live demonstration counter is also be the part of food festival.

A dedicated space will also be earmarked for organizing Cultural Programmes.
