New Delhi: With the aim to understand the vision and mission of National Education Policy – 2020, New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) organised 4 Days workshops for Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) of Atal Adarsh Vidyalaya and Navyug School for 2 groups of TGTs for 2 days each group at NDMC Convention Centre, Jai Singh Road, New Delhi today.
The workshop was inaugurated by Chairperson, NDMC – Shri Dharmendra by lighting the lamp. Inaugurating the workshop, Shri Dharmendra outlined the aim and objective of workshops and said that it will provide the understanding of the vision, mission and various aspects of National Education Policy- 2020. He urged to all teachers of NDMC to learn the intention and spirit of the policy to implement for achieving 100% results.
He recalled the Covid Pandemic period and appreciated the efforts of teachers for their continuing education services to the students by on-line mode. He said that NDMC has launched two Youtube Channels and teachers have uploaded their educational videos on these Youtube Channels continuously for students learning. He also mentioned that NDMC has already provided the Tablets to some of the 10th and 12th class students and it will also be provided to the other students of these 2 classes as well as to the teachers of all NDMC / Navyug schools.
On the inaugural occasion of workshop, Financial Advisor – NDMC, Shri Puskal Upadhyay motivated the teachers to learn the objectives of National Education Policy for implemention in NDMC Schools. He expressed hope that the workshop would play an important role to implement National Education Policy-2020 in NDMC education system for better future of students.
Before the inauguration of workshop, Chairman, NDMC accompanied with Financial Advisor, Director (Education) and Director (PR/Event Management) visited an exhibition of teaching and learning Aids. The exhibition was prepared and put up by teachers and students of NDMC & Navyug Schools to make teaching interesting, joyful and experimental.
The workshop sessions will be addressed by Prof. Dines Kumar, Prof. Meghnathan, Prof. Pawan Sudhir and Prof Walzawar, who are the experts on the Education Policy.
Director (Education) Shri R.P Sati while giving the vote of thanks informed that the four days workshops is being held in 2 groups i.e. 18th & 19th for first group and on 20th & 21st for the second group. Overall, the workshop will be participated by the 450 TGTs of NDMC Schools.
The National Education Policy 2020 was approved by the Union Cabinet on 29th July 2020. This policy will be implemented in all schools across the country from the session 2022-23. The policy recommends significant changes in the school education. NDMC has already conducted workshop for HoSs and PGTs.
