New Delhi: The snatching case worked out with the recovery of snatched mobile phone of the victim. One scooty used in commission of crime also recovered.
Accused is a habitual criminal & active snatcher, previously found involved in several cases of snatching & theft.
With the arrest of one desperate snatcher namely, Himanshu @Rishiyan S/o Rajkumar R/o Jahangirpuri, Delhi, staff of PS Adarsh Nagar solved the snatching case, registered vide FIR No. 141/22 u/s 356/379/411 IPC with the recovery of a snatched mobile phone of the victim and a scooty used in commission of crime. Accused is a habitual criminal & active snatcher, previously found involved in several cases of snatching & theft
On 20.01.2022 at about 03:15 PM, the complainant was going to market from his home. When he reached near Tandon Road, one black colour scooty suddenly came close to him and the person riding the scooty snatched his mobile phone from his hand and tried to flee away from the spot. The complainant started chasing the snatcher and meantime, HC Jai Bhagwan & Ct. Mukesh of PS Adarsh Nagar who were patrolling in the area, noticed the incident. Upon this, the police staff acted swiftly and by displaying keen sense of alertness & courage controlled the black scooty rider. They nabbed that person and recovered the snatched mobile phone make: Vivo from his possession, which was identified by the complainant. The scooty used in commission of crime also recovered. On enquiry, he was identified as Himanshu @Rishiyan S/o Rajkumar R/o Jahangirpuri, Delhi.
A case vide FIR No. 141/22 u/s 356/379/411 IPC was registered at PS Adarsh Nagar and accordingly, the accused was arrested. The accused found to be a habitual criminal & active snatcher, previously found involved in several cases of snatching & theft.
Further efforts are being made to trace his possible involvements in other cases also.
