PM Modi and other leaders paid tribute to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his birth anniversary

New Delhi, Aug 20 . Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and other leaders paid tribute to former Prime Minister of India Rajiv Gandhi on his 81st birth anniversary on Wednesday.

PM Modi posted on social media platform ‘X’. PM wrote, “My tribute to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his birth anniversary today.”

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan wrote, “Salute to former Prime Minister of India Rajiv Gandhi on his birth anniversary.”

BJP MP Naveen Jindal wrote, “Remembering former PM Rajiv Gandhi on his birth anniversary, whose vision of a technologically advanced and modern India continues to inspire the progress of our nation.”

Maharashtra government minister Chhagan Bhujbal wrote, “Humble tribute to former Prime Minister of India, Bharat Ratna Rajiv Gandhi on his birth anniversary, who opened new horizons of India’s progress with far-reaching decisions like giving voting rights to the youth of India, Panchayati Raj reforms, computerization and telecom revolution! National Sadbhavana Day is celebrated on his birth anniversary.”

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav wrote, “Many salutes on the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, who took the country towards modernity and liberalization, pioneer of information, communication and computer revolution, strengthened the Panchayati Raj system and lost his life for the country’s policy! Today the whole country is getting the benefit of his foresight and love for technology.”

Senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot wrote, “Reaching “Veerbhoomi” in Delhi, I paid humble tribute to former Prime Minister of India, Bharat Ratna Rajiv Gandhi on his birth anniversary. He was a person with a visionary thinking who laid the foundation of information revolution in the country and led it towards a new era. He will always be remembered for many works like ensuring the participation of youth in democracy, strengthening Panchayati Raj. His contribution towards making India a developed nation is incomparable.

Senior Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel wrote, “On the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister ‘Bharat Ratna’ Rajiv Gandhi, we all salute him. His progressive ideas gave a new direction to India. Apart from ushering in the information technology and telecom revolution in India, he strengthened the Panchayati Raj system and also gave the right to vote to the youth at the age of 18. Keeping his legacy alive, we are committed to building a prosperous, inclusive and progressive India.”
