New Delhi| Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday chaired a video meeting with governors, chief ministers, and lieutenant governors to discuss aspects related to India’s G20 chairmanship. According to official sources, he said that India’s G20 chairmanship belongs to the entire country, and this is a unique opportunity to show the country’s strength.
PM Modi stressed the importance of teamwork and sought the cooperation of states in organizing various G20 events.
He pointed out that the G20 presidency will help showcase parts of India beyond the traditional megacities, thus bringing out the uniqueness of each part of our country.
Highlighting the fact that a large number of people from other countries will be visiting India during the next year of India’s G20 Presidency and international media focus on various events. The Prime Minister urged the states to transform themselves into attractive business, investment, and tourism destinations.
He also reiterated the need to ensure people’s participation in G20 events.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister and Lieutenant Governors shared their views and informed them about the preparations being made to host the G20-related events.
