Soon after the murder, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde had said that strict action will be taken against whoever is behind this murder. CM Shinde, while expressing condolences to the bereaved family, had told that two accused were arrested by the police. One is from Uttar Pradesh and one from Haryana. The third accused is absconding. He said, “I have directed the police to take strict action.”
NCP National President and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said, “The incident of firing on NCP leader, former minister and my colleague Baba Siddiqui who has been in the legislature for a long time is extremely unfortunate, condemnable and painful. I am shocked. I strongly condemn this cowardly attack. ”
He said that the incident will be thoroughly investigated and strict action will be taken against the attackers. The mastermind behind the attack will also be caught.
He said, “With the demise of Baba Siddiqui, we have lost a good leader who fought for the minority brothers and strived for religious harmony. His demise is a big loss for the NCP.”
Let us tell you, Baba Siddiqui was shot dead in Mumbai on the late evening of October 12. The killers ambushed him outside the office of his son Zeeshan.
