Jaipur | All ministers of the Ashok Gehlot-led cabinet in Rajasthan submitted their resignations to the Congress high command on Saturday evening ahead of a major reshuffle on Sunday. The swearing-in ceremony of the new ministers will be held at 4 pm. Earlier, at 2 pm on Sunday, all the ministers have been called to the state Congress headquarters, from where the ministers will go to the Raj Bhavan.
The resignations of the ministers who will be removed are being accepted and sent to the Governor for approval. The information about the new MLAs who are going to become ministers is being given to the Governor over the phone.
The resignations of all the ministers were taken in the cabinet meeting held at the CM residence on Saturday evening.
The resignation of the ministers to be removed will be accepted and a fresh oath will be administered.
Overall, only fresh faces will be administered the oath. According to sources, about 12 new faces can take oath as the minister.
It is believed that there will be a major reshuffle in the portfolios of the ministers. Barring a few ministers, the portfolios of most ministers will be changed.
Sources said that the portfolios of ministers have also been decided at the level of Congress’s high command, whose decision will be taken after the swearing-in ceremony.
