New Delhi: Shri Satish Upadhyay took the oath as Member & Vice-Chairman of New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) in a special meeting for Oath taking held at NDCC Convention Centre, Jai Singh Road, New Delhi today.
Smt. Meenakashi Lekhi, Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture, Govt. of India, Member of Parliament (New Delhi) and Member NDMC as Presiding Officer of the Council Meeting administered the oath to Shri Satish Upadhyay as Member & Vice Chairman along with other three members viz Shri Kuljeet Singh Chahal, Smt. Vishakha Sailani and Shri Girish Sachdeva.
On the occasion, Shri Dharmendra, Chairman-NDMC and two Official Members of the Council Ms. D. Thara, Joint Secretary (L & E), Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Govt. of India and Shri Vikas Anand, Commissioner, EDMC were also present in the meeting.
The Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India has nominated these four members vide gazette notification dated 26th August 2021 in exercise of power conferred by sub-section (1) of the section-4 of New Delhi Municipal Council Act-1994.
