The blind murder case of PS Rajouri Garden solved within 24 hours 

New Delhi: On 10.02.2024, a PCR call was received at P.S. Rajouri Garden, Delhi that a person is lying unconscious in Woodland Park. The PCR van and local police reached the spot and found that it is an incident of homicide. ACP/Rajouri Garden and ACP/Operations immediately rushed to the spot, along with SHO/Rajouri Garden and other officers. Crime and Forensic team was also called.
The deceased was identified as Alok s/o Balbir Singh r/o Raghubir Nagar, Delhi Age-18 yrs. During inspection it was found that he had a wound in his chest and back.
Based on the circumstances, a case of Murder was registered in PS Rajouri Garden.
Post mortem of the body indicated a firearm injury to the deceased.
Some local young persons were called for questioning. Based on their questioning and local intelligence, the name of Saurav Chopra s/o Rajesh Chopra r/o Raghubir Nagar, Delhi came in the light as a prime suspect. He was apprehended by conducting a raid immediately. On sustained questioning, he admitted his involvement in this incident. His associate Pratham s/o Jeetu  (Age-18 Yrs) r/o Raghubir Nagar was also identified and apprehended. Efforts are being made to recover the firearm.
Motive
The accused persons have been taken on police remand to recover the weapon used and to establish the motive.
Eyes and Ears scheme of Delhi Police has turned out to be very useful in this case.
