Crime Branch arrested notorious scooty thief

New Delhi, September 21. The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has claimed to solve 15 cases of theft by arresting a notorious auto thief. Police have recovered 15 Honda Activa scooties from him. The accused has previously been involved in 43 cases of theft, snatching. The accused has been identified as Amrit Singh alias Don alias Veera. He is a resident of Vikaspuri. He has also gone to jail several times in theft cases. Crime Branch Deputy Commissioner of Police Satish Kumar said that in recent times, there has been a significant increase in two-wheeler theft cases in Delhi.

The police received information that the notorious auto lifter Amrit alias Don, who was recently released from jail, was going to come to commit a theft near Rajouri Garden at night. Based on this information, a police team was formed. The team laid a trap and arrested the accused with a stolen scooty. On his information, 14 more stolen scooties were recovered. During police interrogation, the accused told that he has been involved in 43 criminal cases before and has been to jail many times. After being released from jail, he started criminal activities again. The accused told that he has a master key, with the help of which he used to steal scooties. There is a demand for Honda Activa in the market, so he used to steal only Honda Activa scooties. According to the police, he entered the world of crime in the year 2013 and due to his notorious image, he started being called “Don” in the area.
