The death of devotees in the accident at New Delhi station is very painful: Arvind Kejriwal

New Delhi, February 16  Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal expressed grief over the stampede at New Delhi Railway Station on Saturday night. Kejriwal expressed condolences to the families of the deceased.

Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal wrote on Twitter, “The tragic death of devotees going to Maha Kumbh in the accident at New Delhi Railway Station is very sad and painful. May God give peace to their souls. My condolences to all the families who lost their loved ones in the accident.”

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also expressed grief over the accident and wrote on Twitter, “The loss of life in the accident at New Delhi Railway Station is very sad and heartbreaking. My condolences are with the bereaved families. I pray to Lord Shri Ram to grant salvation to the departed souls, strength to bear this immense grief to the bereaved families and speedy recovery to the injured.”

UP Deputy CM wrote on Twitter, “Very sad news has been received about the casualties of many people in the accident at New Delhi Railway Station. I pray to God to provide speedy recovery to the injured in the accident and give place to the departed souls in his lotus feet.”

Delhi Congress President Devendra Yadav also expressed grief over the accident and demanded the resignation of the Railway Minister. He wrote on Twitter, “The accident at New Delhi Railway Station has shaken the heart of the whole country. This accident is a proof of the failure and negligence of the government. Railways is the most trusted and used medium of transport in India, but today due to the failure of the BJP government, people are feeling insecure. The Railway Minister should resign as soon as possible.”

Let us tell you that a stampede broke out on platform number 13 and 14 of New Delhi Railway Station late Saturday night when a rumor of cancellation of two trains going to Prayagraj allegedly spread among the passengers. 18 people were confirmed dead in this accident, many people have also been injured in the accident, who are being treated. After the accident, the railways arranged special trains to reduce the pressure of crowd on the platform. The railways have ordered a high-level inquiry into the incident.

Compensation has also been announced for the affected after the stampede. Indian Railways has announced compensation for the families of the deceased and the injured. The railways have announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the families of the deceased, Rs 2.5 lakh to the seriously injured passengers and Rs 1 lakh to the minor injured passengers.
