Today is the last day of Maha Kumbh: Lakhs of devotees gathered on Mahashivratri festival, flower showers were done

New Delhi, February 26 Wednesday is the last day of the world’s largest event Maha Kumbh. Devotees reached Triveni Sangam to participate in the last holy bath. Flowers were showered on the devotees here.

Wishing the devotees, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wrote on social media, “Hearty congratulations to all the revered saints, Kalpvasis and devotees who have come to take a dip of faith in Triveni Sangam today on the holy bathing festival of Mahashivratri dedicated to the worship of Lord Bholenath in Maha Kumbh-2025, Prayagraj! May Tribhuvanpati Lord Shiva and holy stream Mother Ganga bless everyone, this is my prayer. Har Har Mahadev!”

Devotees have reached here from different parts of the country, and some international tourists have also expressed happiness about their spiritual experience.

A foreign devotee who came to Sangam for the first time expressed her feelings and said, “We have just arrived here, but it is a very spiritual and special experience. I have participated in many festivals, but India is really unique… I cannot put it in words.”

Another female devotee expressed her gratitude and said, “I feel very blessed and lucky that I could come here. The atmosphere here is very good and everything is happening in a proper way.”

The city administration led by the Uttar Pradesh government has taken full care of the safety and convenience of the devotees.

Prayagraj Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rajesh Dwivedi shared his views on the arrangements for Mahashivratri bath and said, “Today is the last holy bath of Mahakumbh 2025, in which devotees are coming from all over the country. A huge crowd has gathered for the holy bath. Pilgrims are coming by train and private vehicles. There is a crowd of devotees at the ghat to seek blessings.”

Despite the large crowd of devotees, everything was able to run smoothly. All arrangements have been made for this. From transportation to crowd control, the government has left no stone unturned to make the spiritual experience easy for everyone.
