Sri Lanka dipped in the dark for six hours


Due to the major power plant failure, on Monday, full Sri Lanka for 6 hours was dipped in dark without no electricity even in major government buildings. In many parts of the country including Colombo and Kurubala, the power supply was restored after six hours.

In many parts of the country, including Colombo and Kurubanel, the supply of power was restored after six hours. However, there is still no electricity in many parts. Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) said that the electricity was disrupted due to transmission failure at the Karalpitia Grid sub-station. Energy Minister Dallas Alohaphera visited the Cellon Electricity Board Head Office.
