Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot flags off bus on new route 990C

New Delhi: In a significant development aimed at enhancing the public transportation network in the city, transport Minister Shri Kailash Gahlot inaugurated the new route 990C by flagging off the bus today. The inauguration took place at the Bawana Chowk, marking a significant milestone in the city’s efforts to improve public transport accessibility. The new route, 990C, will serve commuters by connecting the Bawana Village in the northwestern part of Delhi to the Rithala Metro station, covering various important locations along the way. The newly introduced bus route is expected to benefit a large number of commuters from Bawana Village, Bawana industrial area, Barwala, Pooth Khurd and Prahladpur, making their daily travel more convenient and accessible.
Addressing the occasion, Transport Minister Shri Kailash Gahlot emphasized the importance of this new bus route and its positive impact. He stated, “Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal, we are determined to make Delhi’s transportation system one of the best in the country. To that end, we are taking concrete steps to achieve this vision. The introduction of the 990C bus route signifies our commitment to provide efficient and convenient public transportation options for the citizens of Delhi. With the commencement of this bus route, people living in Bawana village and the surrounding villages of Barwala, Pooth Khurd, and Prahladpur will have better transportation options for commuting. This route will not only improve connectivity but also ease the daily commute for the residents in these areas, particularly in the northwest regions of Delhi.”
