Lucknow, May 13 Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday visited the home of BJP leader and Vice President of the State Women’s Commission, Aparna Yadav, to pay tribute to her husband, Prateek Yadav, and to console the family. Finance Minister Suresh Khanna was also present with CM Yogi during the visit.
CM Yogi Adityanath posted on the social media platform ‘X’, writing, “I reached the Lucknow residence of Uttar Pradesh State Women’s Commission Vice President Aparna Yadav and paid tribute to her late husband, Prateek Yadav, by offering flowers on his mortal remains and consoled the bereaved family.”
Earlier, CM Yogi wrote in an X post on Prateek Yadav’s demise, “The sudden demise of Prateek Yadav, son of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Padma Vibhushan, late Mulayam Singh Yadav, and husband of Uttar Pradesh State Women’s Commission Vice President Aparna Yadav, is deeply saddening. My heartfelt condolences. My condolences are with the bereaved family.” I pray to Lord Shri Ram to grant salvation to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear this immense grief.
Earlier, Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Dimple Yadav also reached Aparna Yadav’s residence to bid a final farewell to Prateek Yadav.
Prateek Yadav, the younger brother of Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, passed away suddenly on Wednesday morning. He breathed his last at Lucknow’s Civil Hospital. Meanwhile, Prateek Yadav’s post-mortem report has been released. The post-mortem report states that Prateek’s condition deteriorated after a blood clot formed in his body. The blood clot had spread from the lower part of his body to the upper part, causing infection in the arteries and lungs. He subsequently died of cardiac arrest.
