UP: Seeing the 2022 elections, Kejriwal wooed the Jats

New Delhi | AAP’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal tried to woo the ‘Jat’ community on Sunday at the Kisan Panchayat held in Meerut in view of the next year’s assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. AAP’s mahapanchayat took place after the party announced to contest the UP assembly elections to be held next year.

Kejriwal’s address mainly focused on the farmers’ protests against the three central agricultural laws. The AAP convenor repeated his party’s slogan, calling the three agricultural laws a ‘death warrant’ for the protesting farmers.

Raising the slogan of Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan and Kisan Ekta Zindabad, Kejriwal said that the protesting farmers are facing atrocities that had not been committed even during the British rule. He also accused the BJP of making false cases against the protesters.

Kejriwal said, “Our farmers can be anything but traitors. But the BJP has called them terrorists and Khalistanists.”
