MELBOURNE | Australian captain Tim Paine has said that opener David Warner is looking good for the third Test against India in Sydney from January 7. “David looks very good. He has started the race between the wickets, so the early indications for the third Test are good which is fantastic for us,” Penn told the media on Tuesday.
Warner is struggling to fit until the third match of the four-match Test series against India.
Australian head coach Justin Langer said before the start of the second Test that Warner was struggling to run. However, Langer also said that he hoped Warner would be fit by the third Test.
Warner suffered a groin injury in the second ODI against India. He is still recovering from his groin injury.
Penn said, “Pukowski is not far from returning to the game. He is very close to making a comeback. I have spoken to him and he seems fine.”
