New Delhi, July 27. In the meeting of the Chief Ministers’ Council of the Bharatiya Janata Party held at the national headquarters of the party here on Saturday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with implementing the public welfare schemes of the Central Government on the ground, the results of the recently held Lok Sabha elections were also discussed.
Sharing photos of the meeting, PM Modi wrote on Twitter, “Met BJP Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers. Our party is working tirelessly to advance good governance and fulfill the aspirations of the people.”
According to sources, on the first day of the two-day meeting today, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma gave presentations. PM Modi gave a very brief speech. It is being told that he will speak in detail on Sunday.
Sarma gave his presentation on ‘Recruitment Drive for Jobs’ in the meeting. At the same time, Yogi Adityanath gave his presentation on two schemes and goals of his government – ‘digitization of village secretariats’ and making Uttar Pradesh a state with ‘one trillion dollar economy’.
The meeting, which lasted for more than three and a half hours at the BJP headquarters, began with party president J.P. Nadda welcoming PM Modi. The Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of all the BJP-ruled states present in the meeting congratulated PM Modi for gaining the trust and mandate of the people and forming the government at the Centre for the third consecutive time and felicitated him.
According to sources, the meeting also discussed ways to make the public welfare schemes run by the central government successful at the ground level. All the Chief Ministers were directed to make full use of the funds allocated for these schemes and ensure that the benefits reach the last person. There was also a discussion on implementing the popular schemes being run successfully by a state government in other states as well.
In view of the upcoming assembly elections, there were also discussions on strengthening the organization in the respective states and creating better coordination between the government and the organization.
BJP President J.P. Nadda will listen to the live broadcast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program at 11 am on Sunday at the party headquarters. It is being told that during this time the party’s Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister will also be present with him.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, party’s National Organization General Secretary B.L. Santosh and many other leaders and national office bearers were also present in the meeting today. Apart from Yogi and Sarma, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav, Chhattisgarh CM Vishnudev Sai, Goa CM Pramod Sawant, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, both Deputy Chief Ministers of Uttar Pradesh Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis were also present in the meeting.
