Yogi government removed Lucknow police commissioner

LUCKNOW | Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has removed Lucknow Police Commissioner Sujit Pandey for his alleged failure to control crime in the state capital. DK replaced Pandey Thakur has been brought in, who was till now posted in the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS). Thakur took over at 1 pm on Wednesday afternoon after Pandey was ordered to make this change around midnight.

Sujit Pandey was appointed the first police commissioner of Lucknow after the commissioner system was introduced in January this year. Meanwhile, G.K. Goswami has been posted as ADG ATS.

Rajkumar was also named on the waiting list, he has been made ADG (Personnel).
