7 new cases of coronavirus in New Zealand

WELLINGTON: Coronavirus reports on 7 new cases in New Zealand on Saturday. The Ministry of Health gave this information in its statement. According to the report of the news agency Xinhua, all the new cases are spread through community broadcasting, taking the total number of cases here to 1,258.

It is being told that six positive cases have been linked to the first case, while an investigation has been found.

The ministry said the number of active cases in New Zealand has gone up to 56, with 37 of the recent community broadcasts, while 19 cases have been found from the Quarantine Center.

The ministry said that contacts of positive cases are being tracked, out of which 1090 close contacts have been identified. On Saturday, 934 close contacts are placed in ‘Self Isolation’.

“We are locating the remaining close contacts, if you need to be informed, please pick up the call or revert,” he said.

On Friday, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced the Alert 3 lockdown in the Auckland region and Alert 2 elsewhere, and the lockdown until August 26, which will continue for 12 days.

New Zealand went into a month-long national alert level 4 lockdown in late March, becoming the first country to win a coronavirus fight in June.

Coronavirus cases are coming again in the country since the beginning of this week after a gap of 102 days.
