84-year-old, slender man is where he can often be seen writing Sanskrit poetry

New Delhi: The home of an 84-year-old, slender man is where he can often be seen writing Sanskrit poetry. Though the content of his writing is unknown to anyone, his neighbors have noticed that he wakes up early every morning to engage in yoga and meditation for several hours to maintain his physical and mental health. He spends the rest of his day writing. The manuscript he completed, which weighed about 80 kilograms, was published in the form of a Hindi translation of the Rig Veda, an ancient Sanskrit text. The people of Ayodhya were overjoyed at this accomplishment and proud that someone from their city had made such a significant contribution to preserving the Vedas’ legacy for the common man.

Dr. Pandey, an unsung Sanskrit scholar and skilled poet, has a passion for writing. He spent nearly two decades translating all four Vedas into Hindi, using a variety of Hindi meters to make them suitable for singing. People from all over the country are visiting him to see this mammoth work. Dr. Pandey was born and still resides in Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Ram, where the magnificent Ram Mandir is currently being built. He has never left Ayodhya, claiming that it is a land of supreme knowledge that strengthens his writing. A remarkable fact about him is that he sustained himself on milk alone for a decade, without consuming any grains.
