New Delhi | 1,94,720 new cases of the corona were reported in India, which is about 26,000 more than the previous day. At the same time, a total of 442 deaths have also occurred. This information was given by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Wednesday. With 442 deaths in the last day, the death toll has increased to 4,84,655.
There are 9,55,329 active cases of the corona. With this, the total positive rate in the country has gone up to 2.65 percent.
The Union Health Ministry on Wednesday said that the number of Omicron variants has reached 4,868 across the country. However, out of the total Omicron positive cases, 1,850 have been discharged from hospitals. So far, cases of Omicron variants have been reported from 28 states.
With the recovery of 60,405 patients in the last 24 hours, the number of people recovering has increased to 3,46,30,536. With this, India’s recovery rate has gone up to 96.01 percent.
A total of 17,61,900 corona tests were conducted across the country. So far more than 69.52 crore tests have been done in India.
With over 85 lakh vaccine doses delivered in the last 24 hours, India’s corona vaccination coverage has reached 153.80 crores as of Wednesday morning.
According to the Ministry of Health, till Wednesday morning, more than 16.50 crore corona vaccine doses are currently available with the states and union territories.
