New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s membership of Parliament has been reinstated after the Supreme Court stayed the sentence.
The Lok Sabha Secretariat issued a notification on Monday, citing the decision given by the Supreme Court on August 4, 2023, to reinstate Rahul Gandhi’s membership of Parliament from the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat in Kerala.
Let us tell you that after Rahul Gandhi was sentenced to two years by a court in Surat, Gujarat, the Lok Sabha Secretariat issued a notification on 24 March 2023, canceling his membership of the Lok Sabha from 23 March 2023.
Rahul Gandhi was elected Member of Parliament from Wayanad, Kerala in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
