New Delhi: In the series of Police Commemoration Week-2023, The Kavi-Sammelan (कवि सम्मेलन) was organized by North District at Gyan-Path, Red Fort, Delhi on 28.10.2023 at 06:30 PM. The programme was chaired by Shri Sanjay Kumar Arora, the worthy Commissioner of Police, Delhi with the participation of Shri Dependra Pathak, (Special Commissioner of Police, (Law & Order Zone-1), Shri Parmaditya (Joint Commissioner of Police, Central Range) as well as participated with the association of team North headed by the undersigned, comprising Shri Sudhanshu Verma, (Addl. DCP-I), Ms. Shweta K. Sugathan, Addl. DCP-II, ACsP of Sub-Divisions, SHOs and other officers/men from each police station of North District.
The chief guest of the programme (Shri Sanjay Kumar Arora, Commissioner of Police) was welcomed by Shri Dependera Pathak (Special Commissioner of Police L&O). And the team of North District headed by the undersigned has welcomed other Dignitaries, Poets and Guests. Moreover, the guests from the families of martyrs of Delhi Police were especially welcomed and honored by worthy Commissioner of Delhi Police.
The Kavi-Sammelan was specifically, dedicated to the brave souls of Delhi Police, who made ultimate sacrifice towards the country. The programme was inaugurated by worthy Commissioner of Police.
It was a gathering of poets and the participants recite their poetry to each other and have a general discussion on literary issues. The stage was taken over by the well-known poets comedian i.e. Sh. Surender Sharma as well as many other renowned poets. The DCP/North District (Shri Manoj Kumar Meena) appealed the Poets to deliver the joy of ‘Kavi-Sammelan’ and the artists mesmerized the audiences with their poetic skills and instant humors.
The programme was ended with the vote of thanks by Addl. DCP-I/North District (Shri Sudhashu Verma). The team, North District expressed its gratitude to Worthy CP, Delhi, Poets and the Guests for sparing their precious time to visit and participate the programme and enlightening the path. At the end of programme, all the participants were requested and offered to have dinner.
