Kolkata. In West Bengal, the Trinamool Congress is heading towards victory on 29 out of the 42 Lok Sabha seats in the state. After this, CM Mamata Banerjee claimed that the people of India, especially the people of West Bengal, have broken the backbone of the BJP.
According to the CM, if the BJP had gotten a majority without the help of its allies, the country would have ceased to exist.
The Chief Minister said, “The NDA has now lost. Some other parties would still be considering supporting the BJP. But I would request that they not to do so. I think Modi’s magic is over and he should resign.”
The Chief Minister said that the BJP has not got an absolute majority on its own, so the coming days will be difficult for the party.
CM Banerjee said, “They have already done a lot of atrocities on us, for which we will never forgive them. I think other allies of the India Alliance will also not forgive them.”
Referring to the defeat of state Congress President Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury from Baharampur, the Chief Minister said that he was actually working on behalf of the BJP. The people of Baharampur have rejected him, just like the people of the state have rejected the BJP.
The CM mocked the exit poll predictions, which had predicted a massive win for the BJP. The aim of those making such predictions is to demoralise the people of the country.
