Darbhanga, November 13 . Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Darbhanga in Bihar on Wednesday and gifted projects worth more than Rs 12,100 crore to the state. During this, he also laid the foundation stone of Bihar’s second AIIMS to be built in Darbhanga.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was present on this occasion. Prime Minister Modi reached Darbhanga on Wednesday and inaugurated, laid the foundation stone and dedicated to the nation several development projects worth Rs 12,100 crore through remote. A target of 36 months has been set to complete the Darbhanga AIIMS. This is the second AIIMS received by Bihar after Patna.
In this sequence, Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several national highway projects worth about Rs 5,070 crore in Bihar. He inaugurated the four-lane Galgalia-Araria section of NH-327E. The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone of eight national highway projects in the program.
Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of railway projects worth more than Rs 1740 crore. Prime Minister Modi flagged off the train in the Jhanjharpur-Laukaha Bazar section.
During this, he laid the foundation stone of rail projects costing more than Rs 220 crore from Chiralapothu to Bagha Bishunpur in Aurangabad district of Bihar. PM Modi also dedicated railway projects worth more than Rs 1520 crore to the nation. These include gauge conversion of Jhanjharpur-Laukaha Bazar rail section, Darbhanga bypass railway line.
Prime Minister Modi dedicated 18 Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendra to the nation at various railway stations. He also laid the foundation stone of several schemes costing more than Rs 4,020 crore in the petroleum and natural gas sector. In line with the vision to provide PNG to households and clean energy options to commercial and industrial sectors, the Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone for development of City Gas Distribution (CGD) network in five major districts of Bihar namely Darbhanga, Madhubani, Supaul, Sitamarhi and Sheohar by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited.
