Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the budget, focus on poor, youth, farmers and women power

New Delhi, February 1 . Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday presented the budget for the financial year 2025-26 in the Lok Sabha amid uproar by the opposition. This is the first full year budget of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s third term. Presenting the budget, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that our economy is growing and big. We have attracted the attention of the world in the last 10 years.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said during the budget speech, “Our focus is on ‘Gyan’ (GYAN) i.e. poor, youth, farmers and women power. Along with this, our focus is on health, manufacturing and Making India, employment and innovation. Also, we are working on agriculture and export, our aim is to make a developed India. Under the leadership of PM Modi, we will give impetus to the economy. This is the budget of developed India.” She has announced ‘Dhan Dhanya Yojana’ for farmers. She said, “Prime Minister Dhan Dhanya Yojana will be started for farmers. Apart from this, the limit of Kisan Credit Card has been increased to 5 lakhs.”

She said, “This budget is dedicated to increasing the development of the government, development of all, increasing the capacity of the middle class. We are going to complete 25 years of this century. Our expectations of a developed India have inspired us.”

Presenting the budget, Nirmala Sitharaman said, “Our economy is the fastest growing economy among all major global economies. Our development track record and structural reforms in the last 10 years have drawn the attention of the world towards us. During this period, confidence in India’s ability and potential has increased. We see the next 5 years as a unique opportunity to realize ‘Sabka Vikas’ by accelerating the balanced development of all sectors.”

The Finance Minister said, “Make in India, employment and innovation, energy supply, development of sports, development of MSMEs are part of our development journey and its fuel is reforms. This program is expected to help 1.7 crore farmers. Rural prosperity and adaptation building will be launched in partnership with the states. Skill, investment will improve employment in agriculture. Its aim is to create alternatives in rural areas. Focus will be on young farmers, rural women, and small farmers. In the first phase, 100 developing agricultural districts will be covered.” He further said, “The government is running the National Oil Mission for self-sufficiency in edible oils. 10 years ago we made concrete efforts and achieved self-sufficiency in pulses. Since then there has been an increase in income and better economic capacity. Now the government is focusing on tur, urad and masoor. Details of this have been given. All pulses will be purchased during 4 years from farmers who register and contract with central agencies.”
