Discussion on CAG will continue in Delhi Assembly, will meet LG on Monday: Vijender Gupta

New Delhi, March 2  Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta said while talking to the media on Sunday that the discussion on CAG will continue on March 3 as well. He said that he will meet Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena at 10 am on Monday and will submit a motion of thanks to him on his address.

Vijender Gupta said, “Our effort is that the House runs according to the law and all the members of the ruling party and the opposition participate in the discussion. We invite everyone to participate in the discussion.”

He said that during the address in the Delhi Assembly, members of the ruling party and the opposition participated and thus a new enthusiasm and confidence was infused in the House. This moment is important in this new session because some attempts were made to disrupt the address, but all the members avoided this and discussed it in a strong and systematic manner.

The speaker said that if any party is running away from the discussion, then it is unfortunate because discussion is an integral part of a healthy democratic process. He believes that the conclusions emerging from the debate will be beneficial for the citizens of Delhi. He stressed that there should be constructive discussion in the House and not noise so that some meaningful results can be drawn from it.

Earlier, Delhi government minister Kapil Mishra also said that a report related to health will be presented in the assembly on Monday and issues related to Delhi will be discussed in the house. He told  on Sunday that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is creating a ruckus because its deeds are being exposed. While in the government, they committed a lot of scams, which are now being exposed, due to which AAP is scared. Kapil Mishra said that creating a ruckus on any report has become a habit of the opposition. The CAG report will be discussed in the house on Monday. A lot of irregularities have been done in the health sector.
