DMK in Tamil Nadu and NDA winning signs in Puducherry: Survey

New Delhi| Finally, the clock arrived which everyone was waiting for. According to the Times Now / ABP News-C voter exit poll, the BJP-led NDA is winning in Puducherry, the NDA seems to be making a comeback after a tough fight in Assam, while in Tamil Nadu the BJP is facing a defeat. Whereas the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC seems to be able to win West Bengal again and the LDF led by Pinarayi Vijayan is doing a clean sweep in Kerala. According to the Times Now / ABP News-C voter exit poll, the survey’s findings and estimates are based on in-person interviews conducted between adults in the states on polling day and after the vote. All voters were confirmed.

The data has been taken on the known demographic profiles of the states, said Yashwant Deshmukh, founder and cephalologist of C-Voter. We believe that this will be a near-complete trend.

The exit poll of Delhi-based polling agency C-Voter for Times Now / ABP News revealed in this survey that Mamata Banerjee is ready to win West Bengal, even BJP is likely to win 109 to 121 seats, while The MK Stalin-led DMK will win Tamil Nadu by a huge margin.

The exit poll survey size in Assam was 28,393, 43,630 in Tamil Nadu, 5,003 in Puducherry, 26,447 in Kerala and 85,000 in West Bengal.

Deshmukh also stated that for analytics he used a proprietary algorithm to calculate provincial and regional vote share based on split-voter. The same algorithm is used to include vote share projections into the potential seat share in the range.

The C-Voter exit poll data collection starts right after the voting process and continues till the election is over. He said, for a state, we conduct interviews at randomly selected polling stations in all the assembly constituencies.

Voting took place on 6 April in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Kerala. Voting took place in eight phases in West Bengal from March 27 to April 29, while in Assam, voting took place in three phases from March 27 to April 6.
