NEW DELHI| Demonstration of farmers against agricultural laws continues. In such a situation, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party and Delhi’s Environment Minister Gopal Rai said that in support of the farmers’ movement on December 14, ‘AAP’ workers across the country will hold a collective fast. AAP MLAs, councilors and officials will hold a collective fast at the party headquarters from 10 am to 5 pm on Monday in support of the farmer movement. He further said that, BJP’s central government has admitted that there are shortcomings in all three agricultural laws. When the government itself has admitted that the law needs to be amended, then why are they hesitating to withdraw it?
The appeal of the Aam Aadmi Party is that the Prime Minister should intervene directly and call the farmer leaders and meet them. BJP’s Delhi Police says that farmers and Aam Aadmi Party leaders cannot protest due to the implementation of Section 144 in the event of pestilence, then under which act are the leaders of the BJP under protest at the Chief Minister’s residence?
The Union Home Minister Amit Shah wants to run Delhi and the country on his own by misusing the police, yet the AAP movement against the farmers’ law will go ahead. At the same time, you stand with them at every step in support of the demands of the farmers. Along with the movement, the program of service by the party workers-MLAs is being run on different borders including the Singhu border, Tikari border, it will continue.
