Arvind Kejriwal resigns from CM post, now government will be formed under the leadership of Atishi

New Delhi,  Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal met Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena and handed over his resignation to him. He resigned from the post of Chief Minister. After his resignation, the process of forming a new government in Delhi will now begin.

Before this resignation, a meeting of the Aam Aadmi Party Legislature Party was called at the Chief Minister’s residence, in which Atishi Marlena’s name was proposed by Kejriwal for the post of Chief Minister. After this, the MLAs unanimously approved Atishi’s name for the post of Chief Minister.

Now Atishi will take over the responsibility of the post of Chief Minister of Delhi after taking oath.

After being elected to the post of Chief Minister, Atishi praised Kejriwal. She said that if she was in any other party, she would not have even got the election ticket, but Arvind Kejriwal not only made her an MLA, but also put her name forward for the post of minister and now Chief Minister.

Atishi further said that even after this she is not happy at all, because Kejriwal is being constantly harassed by the BJP. The BJP is misusing the investigation agencies against him.

Atishi stressed that do not congratulate me. This is the same Kejriwal who did remarkable work towards providing better education and health to the people of Delhi. But, it is sad that Kejriwal is being harassed by the BJP. But, we will keep fighting this battle.

Let us tell you that after getting bail from the Supreme Court in the excise policy case, Kejriwal had announced his resignation from the post of Chief Minister. He had clearly said that until the people of Delhi do not hand over the command of the CM post to him again, he will not assume this post. Along with this, he had demanded that assembly elections be held in November itself along with Maharashtra and Jharkhand.
