Biden praised PM Modi’s dedication to Quad

Washington, September 22 . US President Joe Biden praised India’s leadership ability on the world stage. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to strengthen the Quad in the G20, Global South, as well as the Indo-Pacific region. He said that PM Modi’s leadership is important for peace and prosperity in the world.

The White House said on Saturday that President Joe Biden also praised the historic visit to Poland and Ukraine by an Indian Prime Minister in decades. Biden also described Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message of peace as important, from Ukraine’s energy sector to the humanitarian aid being provided in accordance with international law (including the UN Charter).

President Joe Biden and PM Modi have said during a meeting that the partnership between the US and India is the most important partnership of the 21st century.

This partnership is doing good work for the world.

PM Modi described the meeting with Joe Biden as “extremely fruitful” and thanked him for inviting him to his residence in Greenville, Delaware. In a post on social media platform X after the meeting, he said, “During the meeting, we had the opportunity to discuss regional and global issues.”

Said that the US-India partnership should be based on upholding ‘democracy, freedom, rule of law, human rights, pluralism and equal opportunities for all, as our countries strive to become a more perfect union and fulfill their shared goals.’

The White House said that President Biden and PM Modi appreciated the progress that has made the US-India major defense partnership a ‘pillar of global security and peace’.

The President and PM Modi said that we hope that the relationship between the US-India will become stronger.

The people, private sectors, and governments of our countries are working together. We are confident that our efforts will take the US-India partnership to greater heights. Our partnership will become stronger in the decades to come.

It has been said that India stood firm during the Covid-19 pandemic and played an important role in dealing with the pandemic.

The two leaders reaffirmed their support for the protection of freedom of navigation and commerce, including through vital sea lanes in the Middle East, where India will co-lead Combined Task Force 150 to work with the Joint Maritime Forces to secure sea lanes in the Arabian Sea in 2025.

US President Joe Biden said in a meeting with PM Modi that the US supports efforts to reform global institutions so that India’s important voice can be heard properly by the world, including India’s permanent membership in the United Nations Security Council. The leaders expressed their opinion that strong US-India ties are critical to the success of efforts to “build a cleaner, inclusive, more secure, and prosperous future for the world.”

The President and PM Modi praised the success of the Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technologies (ICET), which has helped deepen and expand strategic cooperation in key technology areas, including space, semiconductors, and advanced telecommunications. The two leaders expressed commitment to enhance regular interactions to improve the pace of cooperation in areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), quantum, biotechnology, and clean energy.
