BJP’s massive victory in Delhi Assembly elections—this is how it broke the ‘tidbit of AAP.’

New Delhi, February 8. BJP defeated Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) by winning a landslide victory in Delhi Assembly elections. BJP got 48 seats and AAP got 22 seats. On the other hand, the country’s oldest political party, Congress, once again failed to open its account.

According to the Election Commission’s data, the BJP got 45.56 percent of votes and AAP got 43.57 percent of votes. However, in terms of seats, BJP went far ahead by achieving the figure of 48. Many factors are being discussed behind BJP’s massive victory in this election, and there are many such that hardly anyone noticed.

If we look at the campaigning of the Delhi elections, the big faces of the BJP came in the field in the role of star campaigners and campaigned vigorously for the party. PM Narendra Modi was the biggest star campaigner for BJP, due to whom the party has been performing brilliantly in every election continuously. At the same time, BJP did not let go of any opportunity to communicate with the public at the organizational level. The special thing was that during the campaign for the Delhi Assembly elections, there was no mention of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

It is even being said that the RSS was active on the ground. It worked as a bridge to connect the BJP with the slum dwellers and the economically weaker people. This vote bank was once considered to be of the Congress and AAP. The kind of results that have come in this election clearly indicate that the BJP has gone far ahead of its opponents even in terms of vote bank.

If political experts are to be believed, the BJP also started the ‘Pravas Abhiyan’ for the slum dwellers. This campaign ran from July to December last year. During this time, BJP leaders and workers used to stay overnight. They used to talk to people. They also gathered information about their problems. Somewhere this effort of the BJP is being seen as strong figures in the results of the Delhi elections.

Congress is also considered to be an important reason behind BJP’s massive victory in Delhi. However, Congress’s account was not opened. In this Delhi assembly election, Congress has got 6.34 percent votes. This is about two percent more than the last election. It is believed that AAP has lost more than 10 seats due to Congress.

The biggest thing is that Modi government gave the gift of income tax exemption on income up to Rs 12 lakh in the general budget a few days ago. This is also being considered a ‘game changer’ in the results of Delhi elections. A large population in Delhi is from the middle class and working class. Modi government’s announcement of giving income tax exemption increased the inclination of the middle and working class towards BJP.

The results also showed the Purvanchal vote bank coming towards BJP. This vote bank was once considered to be with AAP. But, the way BJP raised issues related to Purvanchal society since a few months ago. Whether it is sending people from Purvanchal out of Delhi during the time of Corona or serious allegations against AAP leaders for organizing Chhath Puja, all these issues benefited BJP on one hand, while AAP suffered a huge loss.

In the election, BJP raised the issues related to Sheesh Mahal, air pollution and Yamuna river in its campaign with great vigor. Aam Aadmi Party could not find a solution to it. Aam Aadmi Party was seen on the back foot from the very beginning on the issue related to Sheesh Mahal and cleaning of Yamuna. AAP leaders blamed LG and the central government for failing to solve the issues related to air pollution and Yamuna river.

Arvind Kejriwal even said that Delhi’s development was put on hold due to sending his leaders (including him) to jail as part of a political conspiracy. But, BJP was successful in planting the failure of Kejriwal and Aam Aadmi Party in the minds of the people of Delhi.
