Haryana, Maharashtra and now Delhi, BJP’s great comeback under PM Modi’s leadership after Lok Sabha elections

New Delhi, February 8  Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has suffered a major setback in the Delhi elections. BJP has got a landslide victory here under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. BJP has got 48 seats in the 70-seat Delhi Assembly. BJP’s top leadership has a leading role in this victory.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah had taken charge of the election campaign for this victory. Many rallies of PM Modi were also held in Delhi. Along with this, the list of star campaigners of the BJP was also long this time and everyone together wrote the story of this victory. On the other hand, this was also a litmus test of the 10-year rule of Arvind Kejriwal and his party ‘AAP’, in which he has completely failed.

Earlier, the kind of setback that BJP had suffered in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections was becoming difficult for the party to digest. Even though the NDA got an absolute majority, the BJP did not get enough seats to cross the majority mark on its own. After this, the party reviewed it. The BJP was claiming to win 400 seats in the Lok Sabha elections, but it could not succeed in it. After this, the opposition started saying that now there is no wave of PM Modi and the BJP’s train is about to derail. But, the way the BJP made a bumper comeback in the assembly elections one after the other, except Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir, has shut the mouth of the opposition.

After the massive victory in Haryana, the incredible success in Maharashtra proved that both the charm and wave of PM Modi are intact. However, unlike Maharashtra and Haryana, the people of Delhi did not reject the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections. The BJP won 7 out of 7 Lok Sabha seats here.

Still, after the bumper victory of BJP in the assembly elections of Maharashtra and Haryana, everyone is trying to know what was the reason behind NDA not doing so well in these two states during the Lok Sabha elections? Whereas, in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the support base of NDA was better in both the states. In the Lok Sabha elections 2024, where NDA got 17 out of 48 seats in Maharashtra. At the same time, out of 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana, only 5 seats came in the share of BJP. But, in the recently held assembly elections, BJP won bumper victory in both the states.

Out of 90 assembly seats in Haryana, 48 seats came in the share of BJP. Whereas, out of 288 seats in Maharashtra assembly elections, 235 seats came in the share of Mahayuti.

When the people of both the states were questioned about this during the survey, the answers were very shocking. There was no decrease in the popularity of PM Narendra Modi in both the states during the assembly elections, whereas during the Lok Sabha elections before this, BJP was reduced to 240 seats. The narrative set by Congress and other opposition parties during the Lok Sabha elections about BJP changing the constitution worked then, but its effect was not seen anywhere in the assembly elections. In the assembly elections of both the states, there was a lack of trust in the minds of the people towards Rahul Gandhi, who was seen as the biggest face of the opposition.

The same lack of trust was seen among the people in the Delhi assembly elections regarding both Rahul Gandhi and Arvind Kejriwal. The reason for this was clear that apart from the face of PM Modi, the people of Delhi trusted his claims and promises.

If we believe what came out in the survey of Maharashtra and Haryana before this, then the people of Haryana and Maharashtra corrected their mistake in the Lok Sabha elections and voted in favor of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party. This time the same situation prevailed in Delhi as well. Unlike 2020, this time the public voted heavily in favor of BJP and as a result, BJP managed to win 48 out of 70 seats.

By ensuring BJP’s victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, people have shown that PM Modi’s growing popularity among the people has paved the way for this historic victory for BJP in Delhi.
