Cabinet approves MoU with Bangladesh on Disaster Management Cooperation

New Delhi | The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been signed in March 2021 on Cooperation in the field of Disaster Management, Sustainability and Mitigation between the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) under the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of India and the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, People’s Republic of Bangladesh. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was conveyed. An official statement said that under this MoU, efforts will be made to establish a system whereby India and Bangladesh; Both countries will benefit from each other’s disaster management system. This will also help in strengthening the areas of preparedness, quick rescue and relief work and capacity building in the field of disaster management.
