New Delhi| CBSE has reduced the social science syllabus by giving relief to the students of 10th standard. CBSE has made this reduction in the syllabus in view of the convenience of students in the 10th board examination. The revised syllabus can be seen on the official website of CBSE. In the 10th grade, questions based on history, geography, political science and economics are asked under the subject of social science. CBSE 10th board of social science test paper will be held on 27th May. Five units for students have been removed from the topics of Social Science Theory.
According to the Union Ministry of Education, due to the Corona epidemic, the working days of schools have been reduced significantly this year. Most of the students have been educated through online mediums. In such a situation, now the students themselves, parents and teachers are also in favor of reducing the curriculum of the students.
Earlier, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has said, “In view of the extraordinary situation arising across the country due to Corona, CBSE has been advised to reschedule its syllabus and reduce syllabus.”
CBSE had reduced the syllabus by 30 percent in various subjects after the Union Education Minister directed that the syllabus be reduced. That course will no longer be part of the board examinations and subjects scheduled for internal evaluation.
School leaders and teachers will also ensure that students explain the reduced content to combine different topics. The revised syllabus is available on the academic website of CBSE.
According to the Ministry of Education, in the wake of the Corona epidemic, concrete suggestions were invited from academics from all over the country on the subject of syllabus reductions. More than 150 academics across the country have sent their suggestions on this subject.
