Congress’s crushing defeat in Delhi Assembly elections, know what Mallikarjun Kharge, Devendra Yadav and Pawan Khera said

New Delhi, February 8  In the results of the Delhi Assembly elections that came out on Saturday, the Bharatiya Janata Party performed brilliantly and won 48 seats, while the Aam Aadmi Party was reduced to just 22 seats. Once again, Congress’s account was not opened in this election, which is a big setback for the party. After the election results, Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, Delhi Congress President Devendra Yadav and Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera reacted.

Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge wrote on X, “In the Delhi Assembly elections, the Congress party created an atmosphere against the government in public interest, but the public did not give us the mandate as expected. We accept the public opinion. Every leader and worker of Congress united and worked hard in adverse circumstances, but more hard work and struggle is still required. In the coming days, we will keep raising the issues of pollution, Yamuna cleaning, electricity, roads, water and development in Delhi and will stay connected with the public.”

Delhi Congress President Devendra Yadav wrote on X, “The results of the Delhi Assembly elections are a clear indication that the people of Delhi have rejected Arvind Kejriwal’s politics of lies and deception. All the soldiers of the Congress organization fought the battle for justice with great strength, but the results did not come in our favor. We will review our shortcomings and mistakes and will continue to serve the people of Delhi, we will stand with the people of Delhi every moment. The mandate of the people is acceptable.”

Pawan Khera wrote on X, “The fall of a section of so-called liberals is absolutely bizarre. They did not give these lectures on opposition unity to AAP when the party went to Goa, Gujarat, Haryana etc to contest elections and weaken the anti-communal, secular vote. The Delhi election result is the rejection of the Trojan horse that tried to harm liberal forces across the country.”

He further wrote, “Most liberals are rightly celebrating the fall of the mask so that the real champion of liberal values - the Indian National Congress – can emerge stronger to take on and defeat the BJP.”
