New Delhi, February 8 The results of the Delhi Assembly elections have started coming. The results show that some leaders who left their party and joined another party were fully supported by the public, while many were rejected outright.
Arvind Singh Lovely won from Gandhi Nagar Assembly seat. Lovely was earlier in Congress, but he left Congress before the Delhi Assembly elections and joined BJP. Arvinder Singh Lovely defeated Naveen Chaudhary on the Gandhi Nagar seat.
Priyanka Gautam, who left the Aam Aadmi Party and joined the BJP, faced defeat in the Kondli seat. Kuldeep Kumar (Monu) of AAP defeated her by 6,293 votes. Priyanka Gautam was a councilor of the Aam Aadmi Party.
Rajkumar Anand, who left AAP and contested on a BJP ticket, lost from the Patel Nagar seat. He had left Aam Aadmi Party just before the assembly elections. AAP’s Pravesh Ratna has won from this seat, while the Congress candidate has been at number three.
BJP’s Kailash Gehlot’s performance from Bijwasan seat was also excellent. He left AAP and joined BJP and got a lot of love from the people. AAP’s Surendra Bhardwaj was at number two and Congress candidate was at number three. Kailash Gehlot was a cabinet minister in the Kejriwal government and left AAP and joined BJP before the elections.
Kartar Singh Tanwar, who left Aam Aadmi Party and joined BJP before the assembly elections, has won the Chhatarpur seat. Here AAP was at number two and Congress candidate was at number three.
BJP made Narayan Dutt Sharma its candidate from Badarpur seat, but he could not perform as expected. AAP’s Ram Singh lagged behind Netaji. Sharma was also elected MLA on Aam Aadmi Party ticket in 2015.
